Solving An Often-Overlooked Headset Reception Problem

November 14, 2016 ·

CE Repairs is here to help with any drive-thru equipment problems you may have. But many times you can save time and money by fixing things on your own.

For example, if you’re having reception problems with your headset system and nothing seems to fix it, you may be overlooking an easy solution. Although rare, reception and sound quality problems can sometimes be resolved simply by moving your antenna or adding an additional one.

Depending on where the system’s base station is situated, your restaurant equipment could be interfering with the radio frequency. It’s not unusual for radio waves to bounce off stainless steel ovens or walk-in coolers. Microwave ovens can also cause interference include microwave ovens. Even your WiFi network is capable of disrupting the radio signal. So moving your antenna may help to prevent the interference.

If moving your antenna still doesn’t get your headset reception working properly, it may be a problem with the equipment. Give us call at call us at 877-731-0334 and we’ll see if we can diagnose it over the phone. If not, send it in (no cost for inbound shipping!) and we’ll fix it right away.
