Ground Loops Are Important Drive-Thru Parts

August 7, 2017 ·

Ground loops are an essential part of any drive-thru operation. Without them accurately detecting when cars enter the lane, you wouldn’t be able to provide the level of customer service your guests expect.

But did you ever wonder why ground loops are the preferred detection device for drive-thru timer systems?  There are many good reasons:

  • Unlike sonar sensors, which detect any type of movement, ground loops only detect metal mass
  • Troubleshooting and sensitivity adjustments are fairly quick and easy
  • Ground loops are not directly exposed to rain, snow and other environmental hazards
  • Ground loops typically provide many years of trouble-free operation

Speaking of timer systems, if yours is getting old or worn out, CE can refurbish, repair or replace them in a hurry. We offer the following timer system repairs:

  • HME ZOOM
  • HME Dash
  • HME 20 & 30
  • Fast Track 2+2 1000
  • Fast Track 2+2 2000

We also sell new ZOOM and Dash Timer systems, as well as refurbished Fast Track timer systems. Whether it’s time to repair or replace, call us at 877-731-0334.
